Legendary Author Maya Angelou Dies At Age 86

Maya Angelou was the American poet and author, but also a dancer, singer, actress and a director. She was born April 4, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. She died at home in Winston-slaem, North Carolina on Wednesday at the age of 86. Her son Guy B Jonson conform the news in statment. He said, “Her family is extremely gratefull that her ascension was not belabored by a loss of acuity comprehension”.

Her son Jonson said Angelou passed quietly in her home before something in morning on Wednesday. “She lived a life as a teacher,activist,artist and a human being. She was a warrior for equality,tolrance and peace. The faimly is appreciative of the time we had with her and we know that she is looking down upon us with love”. Angelou’s health failing was recently on Thursday.

When Maya Angelou was cencelled an appearance honoring her with a beascon life award because of her health reason. Last mounth, she wrote, “An unexpected ailment put me into the hospital. I will be getting better and the time will come when i can receive another invitation from my state and you will recognize me for I shall be the tall black lady smiling. I ask you to please keep me in your thoughts,in your conversation and in yourvprayers”. President Barack Obama revealed his own sister was named Maya as a tributed to her.

Maya Angelou worked as a fry cook, a nightclub dancer, a civil rights activist and even a prostitude before she found fame. She was the groundbreaking poet who inspired the million of americans with her moving memrois.She remained active, on 23 May five days before her death, she tweeted,’listen to yourself and in that quietude you might hear the voice of God’. Angelous celebrated one of the greatest writer of her genration, bringing light to the struggle of American and African women, as well as the human condition.

Maya Angelou was one of the first American and African women to write a best selling book and was for a pulitzer prize for her tony for her acting and her poetry. She won two Grammys for spoken word album for her poetry and in 2010 she was awarded the presidential medal of freedom.

President Barack Obama issued a statment saying: “She was a storyteller-and gretest stories were true.A childhood of suffering and abuse actually drove her to stop speaking-but the voice she found helped genrations of Americans find their rainbow amidst the clouds and inspired the rest of us to be our best selves”.

Maya Angelou was a longtime friend and mentor to Oprah Winfery-starring alongside her in the historic TV miniseries’roots’.
