I have always been in love with baking and I absolutely love making homemade bread, cakes and cookies the most, but the thing which make my dishes close to my heart is, I don’t follow the traditional recipes, I make mistake and I learn and today I am sharing my all time favorite Homemade Stuffed Braided Bread Recipe with all of you for all of you.

I am using my diner leftover Spicy Mashed Potato as a stuffing but you don’t really have to do that and it doesn’t really have to be potato, it can be anything and it will work for you as long it is what you like to eat or you like to sever to your family.
Homemade Stuffed Braided Bread
Here is the list of thing which you need to make bread
- All Purpose flour 1 and 1/2 cup
- Whole wheat flour 1 cup
- Instant yeast 1/2 tablespoon
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoon
- Salt 3/4 tablespoon
- Warm Milk 1/2 cup and some more for brushing
- Water as needed

Now you need to gather all the flours and mix it well and keep aside and now take a big clean mixing bowl and start adding all the ingredient in it, add Instant yeast, flour, olive oil, salt and mix, now you need to use warm milk and water to form this mixture a dough, just add ample amount of water or it will make your dough runny, now start kneading which is absolutely the most important part of baking Knead till it become soft, smooth and well-done, and now cover the bowl, you can use cling wrap or damp cloth and keep the bowl in a warm place, I normally place it in the oven and turn light on for about 1.30 hours or so, if you are using the right instant yeast then it will not take more than half an hour.
Now I have stuffing with me already, but you can make new if you don’t have any sort of stuffing, and for that you need Potato, Onion , green chili , Chili powder , Green leafs of mint, coriander etc, Turmeric powder, Salt , Oil, Fennel seeds.
Use boiled potatoes it will save the time mash well and keep aside, now add some oil in a pan and put it on the heat and then add fennel seeds wait till it sizzle and then add all the other ingredients and mix well, keep cooking till it start getting maroon red, I don’t use tomato in it since it gets watery later on, but if you are using uncooked potatoes then you can add tomatoes in it, now put it aside cause we need well cold potatoes to fill in the bread and now we are ready to make Homemade Stuffed Braided Bread Recipe.
But before you need to see that is the dough fluffy and ready to make bread? Punch it well knead the dough for few more minutes and then cut the whole dough in to two equal parts cause it is enough to make two breads, and now we will take one portion and roll the dough in to oblong shape it should be thick too, now place the potato in the center of the oval shape in long line and the take a sharp knife and make slanting cuts on both sides, leave the edges to seal the bread from both ends.
Now stat folding these braiding the strips one after the other and fold the bottom end to secure the stuffing and then put it in the safe tray or plate and cover the brad once again for 20-30 minutes to rise so it taste batter and softer, now preheat the oven to 375 degree, now once the bread has risen take your baking brush and brush the dough with milk or egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds or anything which make it look good, you can use herbs too if you like, and put it in the over for no more than 10-12 minutes or until the top turns golden brown and it is time to take it out and then allow to cool before you serve.
