I never thought that I could bake these yummy Homemade Garlic Knots Recipe once I had at Olive Garden and I still can feel the texture and flavor on my tongue, but I did tried it anyways, mine were not as good as it was at Olive Garden, but these knots turned out so so good than to my expectation, these knots were very soft n flavorful.
I added some Italian seasoning, garlic n oregano and the aroma was mind blowing, especially when these were in the oven, I never used ready to use dough, I love making each and every thing with my own hands and they do taste yummier than any other dough. When you need to twist and turn the tough then you always should try with chilled one, like with Homemade Garlic Knots Recipe, it is easy to handle while u make knots, so I would say keep your dough in refrigerated overnight and you will be really happy with the result and I did added some chopped chilies to garlic butter and some mint and coriander, you can add any herb you like or you can add some spring onions too which taste very yum, and the aroma of garlic-butter-cilantro-chilies will brings all the neighbors in the yard.
Homemade Garlic Knots Recipe
Here is The List of Ingredients You Need
- All Purpose Flour as needed or 2 cups
- One packet of instant Yeast or two tablespoon
- Half teaspoon Sugar and Salt
- One teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 2 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- Half teaspoon Oregano
- 4 tablespoon Olive Oil
- Warm Water
Homemade Garlic Knots Recipe:- If you don’t have Garlic Butter then you can make at home and for that you need 4 tablespoon Butter, 2 tablespoon finally chopped Garlic, one tablespoon finally chopped Green chili, Cilantro /Parsley or whatever you want to add in it and salt an mix it with lose hands and keep it in the refrigerate till you use it.
Now we will work with knots dough, you need to take a large mixing bowl and add warm water, olive oil, yeast, salt, sugar and mix then together well till the yeast dissolves and then put it aside for 2-4 minutes and now take another bowl and mix flour, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, oregano and mix well, and then we will add yeast-oil mixture in it, but make sure it has become frothy, now add it in the flour and make dough.
Now grease your hands and knead the dough for 4-5 minutes until soft n elastic and then put the dough in a bowl and cover it and let rise for 1 to 2 hours or until almost doubled and then put it in the refrigerator or in freezer for 20-30 minutes and now it is ready to make, punch down the air and knead the dough for few seconds and then we will cut the dough into two halves ad we will take one half and start working with it and cover the other half with cling wrap and refrigerate until use.
Now floured surface and start rolling the dough in circle and now take pizza cutter or knives cut and cut 1” vertical strips and now take one stripe and roll the strip and make knot, now brush knots with olive oil and cover with plastic wrap or cloth and give it 30-40 minutes and now preheat oven to 400 F and bake the knots for 12-15 minutes or until light golden brown.
Now melt butter in a sauce pan till garlic become crisp and golden brown and as soon as the knots are done, brush with garlic butter or simply toss the knots with warm garlic butter and it will absorb the butter immediately, I would say server warm and you would love eating it with hot coffee or tea, I normally use yogurt garlic sauce with it Homemade Garlic Knots Recipe.
